Assassins Creed Liberation HD System Requirements [pc]
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag might have only just arrived this week, but hot on its tail comes the upgraded port of Assassin's Creed Liberation. Originally released last year for Playstation Vita, the HD remake is hitting PC in January, and looks to put you in the boots of a female assassin during the events of Assassin's Creed III.
Despite being ported from a handheld the game has been given a significant facelift, so it's not necessarily cut and dried whether your rig will be able to handle all of Assassin's Creed Liberation HD's graphical settings. Let's take a look at the official Assassin's Creed Liberation HD system requirements...
Assassin's Creed Liberation HD Minimum System Requirements
OS: 32 or 64-bit editions of Windows 7, Windows 8, or Vista
CPU: Intel Core i3 2105 clocked at 3.1 GHz or an AMD Phenom 2 X4 955 clocked at 3.2GHz
RAM: 2GB system memory
HD: 3.5GB of free hard disk space
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8800GT or AMD Radeon HD4870 and above
DX: Direct X Compatible Sound Card
Assassin's Creed Liberation HD Recommended System Requirements
OS: 32 or 64-bit editions of Windows 7, Windows 8, or Vista
CPU: Intel Core i5 2400S clocked at 2.5 GHz or AMD FX 4100 clocked at 3.6 GHz or better
RAM: 4GB system memory
HD: 3.5GB of free hard disk space
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 or AMD Radeon HD7870 or better
Hmmm. While the GPU requirements on minimum might not quite be as demanding as Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, necessitating the classic Nvidia GeForce 880GT rather than the GTX 260, the recommended requirements are actually a notch up, requiring a hefty Nvidia GTX 570 or a Radeon HD7870 or better. The processor requirements seem to be fairly steep for what is in essence a Playstation Vita game; an Intel Core i3 processor clocked at 3.1 GHz as a minimum suggests this might be fairly taxing on older rigs.
Luckily the memory requirements are kept moderately low, matching the previous outing's 4GB for recommended settings. As well as this the game only needs a tiny 3.5GB HDD space, the smallest we've seen yet for an Assassin's Creed outing on PC.
What do you make of the system requirements?
Will you be picking this title or is there no going back after the incredible Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag?
